PowerMove® PM1 Roller Shades – AC Power are the preferred motorized roller shades for commercial projects or large residential projects where scalability and/or shade size are key concerns. PM1 AC power, quiet motors are designed to handle mid-to-large size shade systems and also have the power to drive multiple shade bands at once. The AC power motor cables terminate at a three-prong outlet plug or can be run to a junction box.

PM1 Control Options
SmartMove® Digital Network (SDN)
The SmartMove® Digital Network (SDN) controls PowerMove® PM1 roller shades via bus-distribution devices that connect motors, user interfaces, integration devices and sensors. The devices are connected via Cat5e communication bus and operate over a standard RS485 network.
The SDN is suitable for both small and large projects and is highly scalable. The same devices are used whether an SDN system remains stand alone, integrated into a third party automation system or paired with IP Building Control — an automated total solar management system.
Wireless controls can also connect with the SDN.
IP Building Control
The IP Building Control is a total solar management system that controls PowerMove® PM1 roller shades on the SmartMove® Digital Network through wired keypads, virtual keypads, and weather sensors.
The system’s controllers, sensors and keypads can be added to both new and existing SDN installations for comprehensive solar management as either a stand-alone solution or integrated into third-party Building Management Systems, Emergency Management Systems and Audio/Video systems.
The intuitive, graphic user interface allows for simplified commissioning, building management and technical support, featuring drag-and-drop programming, motor auto discovery and at-a-glance system status updates.
Radio Transmitted Signal (RTS)
RTS provides wireless control of PowerMove® PM1 roller shades through wireless wall switches, handheld remote controls, mobile app, timers and sun sensors. RTS is a wireless means of controlling single or multiple channels of shade systems and is the most widely-used control in the industry.
Hardwired / Dry Contact
Hardwired or Dry Contact or standard controls are hardwired toggle, rocker, push button or keyed wall switches wired directly to the PowerMove® PM1 roller shade or group controller.
